Why, oh why? Why is it so hard? Everything seems to be so complex, yet others have done it before. Could it be I am not good at this? Am I... not smart?

This is how computers make many, many people feel, from casual users to systems programmers to AI model authors. There is a reason, all this crap is complex, as well as being complicated.

Remember to find the smallest understandable concepts or groups of concepts that make up the system. To understand how a car works, you don't start with the fuel injection system, or stoichiometric combustion. You start with simple things; levers, bearings, seals, valves, gears. You then build the relationships. Them move on to the concepts that the small elements implement together.

Nobody is expecting you to know it all after the first glance.
